Centre for Allergy and Asthma Care

The Centre for Allergy and Asthma Care was set up with the aim of providing state of the art medical care to patients of all ages suffering from allergies, asthma, and diseases of the immune system.

The center is staffed by a certified specialist in allergy and immunology. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases involving the upper and lower airways, the eyes, the skin and the GI tract. Conditions that we commonly treat include asthma, allergic rhinitis/sinusitis, allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria and angioedema, anaphylaxis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, food allergies, drug allergies, insect allergies, autoimmune diseases and immunodeficiencies.

Our services include skin testing for environmental allergens, food allergens, contact allergens and drugs; lung function testing including provocation studies to determine lower airway hypersensitivity; and challenge testing for foods and drugs. We provide patient education and perform allergen desensitization treatment (“allergy shots”). We also have an allergy shop to provide the specialized products for allergen avoidance and elimination.
