Function of the grey color Insulation Board is to stop the heat radiated from the ' Warmup ' electric heating element to going down to the sub-floor --- the heat only goes up, enabling a fast heat-up time after the floor heat system is ON.
The ' Warmup ' Insulation Board can withstand a loading of 30 Tonnes. Surface of the board is cement compatible, cement sand screeding / cement-based tile adhesive can be applied directly onto the board while laying the flooring material, enabling a good bonding.
