The Internet Society Hong Kong encourages individuals and organizations to actively partake in the open development of standards, protocols, administration, governance, technical infrastructure, and the advancement of the Internet as local and global members of the information society. It seeks to use the Internet to foster social cooperation, community building, and the establishment of a sense of self-governance and equal involvement of multiple stakeholders.
